Before embarking on their journey in the Civil Engineering Program (CEP), students are required to complete a 25-credit-hour preparatory year. It's important to note that this preparatory year is separate from the CEP and its credit hours do not contribute towards the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree.
The preparatory year is designed to equip students with the essential skills and foundational knowledge required for success in their chosen fields of higher education. It focuses on developing proficiency in English language and computer skills, enhancing communication abilities, and building a robust understanding of fundamental sciences such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. These skills and knowledge form the backbone of our students' future specialization.
Following the preparatory year, students will proceed to the CEP, which has its own set of graduation requirements. These requirements are outlined in the table below:
