Functions of the Committee: 

  1. Review applications for new faculty appointments, including candidate materials and interviews. Submit recommendations and supporting documentation to the departmental council. 

  2. Evaluate faculty promotion requests, review supporting documents, and present recommendations with minutes to the departmental council. 

  3. Consider requests from faculty and similar positions regarding transfers, assignments, loans, resignations, consultations (full and part-time), conference attendance, and training participation. Submit recommendations to the departmental council.

  4. Promote innovative teaching methods, scientific research, and active community service within the department. 

  5. Review applications for appointments of assistants, lecturers, researchers, and research assistants. Conduct appropriate evaluations and submit recommendations to the departmental council. 

  6. Evaluate scholarship applications from assistants and lecturers. Verify program alignment with departmental scholarship policies and admissions documents.
