Functions of the Committee:
Develop and maintain a database of program graduates.
Share graduate data with the college's graduate coordinator.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the college's graduate unit.
Publish regular bulletins featuring graduates' academic, professional, and community achievements.
Identify and track challenges faced by graduates entering the workforce.
Foster connections between graduates and the department, college, and university; promote ongoing communication.
Participate in and contribute to alumni events.
Develop and implement strategies for effective alumni communication.
Partner with the college's graduate coordinator to create graduate surveys. These surveys will assess employer trends and satisfaction with program graduates.
Build a database of companies and institutions relevant to graduates' career paths.
Facilitate knowledge exchange between graduates and the department. Aim to enhance the skills of students nearing graduation.
Present graduate proposals for improvements to academic and research programs to the departmental council.
Verify student graduation eligibility by analyzing completed credit hours, passed courses, and any transfer credits.
Advise students who may need to exceed normal course loads during the add/drop period.
Develop training programs based on identified needs that prepare graduates for the labor market and equip them to meet employer expectations.
Investigate challenges faced by graduating students and propose solutions.
Prepare the committee's annual report.
Complete additional tasks assigned by the departmental council or head.
