Master of science in mechanical engineering
Program Mission:
Preparing competent mechanical engineers capable of producing high-quality scientific research, developing the industrial sector, and strengthening community partnership to support sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Thesis and Its Requirements
Registration Requirements:
- The student must pass the required course (11 Credits).
- Approval from the department.
Scientific Supervision:
The department assigns supervisor/s for the thesis.
The responsibility of the supervisor is guiding the student to:
- Choose the subject of research.
- Identify the gap of knowledge and the point of the research.
- Prepare the research proposal.
- Develop a research plan.
- Conduct the research and/or experimental work.
- Analyze and interpret the data and draw conclusions
- Write up the thesis.
- Prepare the presentations
- Prepare the final defense.
In addition, the super visor is responsible for:
- Writing a progress reports as needed.
- Support the student to overcome any problems or obstacles that might hinder his progress.
Thesis Defense/Examination:
The student submits the thesis to the department
The department assigns the Master's examination board.
The Master's examination board consists of internal within the institute or external members from other universities of Saudi Arabia in the field of the thesis.
The Master's examination board submits an officially report the department with their recommendations.
