Academic Regulations and Study Plans Committee

Responsibilities:
  • - Reviewing and developing college study plans.
  • - Reviewing Program Learning Outcomes of each department.
  • - Determining strengths and weaknesses of each program.
  • - Reviewing improvement proposals submitted by the departments.

Academic Accreditation Committee

Responsibilities:

- Approving all faculty members training needs regarding Academic Accreditation and quality.

- Oversee the implementation of quality strategic plans.

- Proposing the formation of Academic Accreditation committees and teams.

- Approving course and  program specifications

- Approving course and programs reports

- Ensuring that programs meet the requirements for program accreditation

- Approving the initial self evaluation measures and ensuring the availability of supporting evidence and documentation

- Approving program Key Performance Indicator reports and benchmarking reports.

- Approving the initial self evaluation study report for the program

Laboratories and Equipment Committee

Responsibilities:

- Receive equipment and laboratory requests from academic programs.

- Review and evaluate laboratory requests submitted by academic programs.

- Ensure the completeness of all required forms related to laboratory requests.

- Obtain approval of requests from the College Dean.

- Submit approved requests to the Standing Committee for Laboratories and Their Equipment.

Academic Advising Committee

Responsibilities:

-Promote a culture of academic advising within the college.

-Supervise all matters related to the academic advising process at the college.

- Provide general supervision of academic advisors and assign an academic advisor to each student.

- Follow up on all student cases submitted to the committee, resolve them, or escalate them to the appropriate authority when necessary.

- Develop operational mechanisms to facilitate the academic advising process for both students and advisors. 

Field Training Office

Responsibilities:

- Receive training lists from relevant departments and distribute students to training sites, taking into account specialization, geographic diversity, and individual student cases.

- Coordinate with academic departments to open specialized training opportunities inside and outside the region in accordance with department-approved regulations.

-  Coordinate with relevant departments to propose clear evaluation mechanisms aligned with course requirements, based on the field experience course description and departmental decisions, and submit them to specialized councils for approval.

-Coordinate with relevant departments to design and develop field training evaluation forms after official approval.

-Standardize field training procedures across different departments while considering the nature of each specialization..

- Provide consultations during field training to all stakeholders involved.

- Monitor the implementation of training standards and compliance with training regulations.

- Activate electronic monitoring and evaluation of trainees inside and outside the region through approved e-learning tools, and link them with academic supervisors in the relevant departments.

- Collect and analyze data and surveys, and respond to inquiries from training entities and students.

-Utilize evaluation results to enhance the competencies of academic supervisors and cooperating trainers.

Examinations and Academic Schedules Committee

Responsibilities:

- Collect early registration files in coordination Academic Affairs Unit.

- Coordinate and communicate with other colleges regarding University and College required courses.

- Evaluate time contradictions of required courses with shared courses in all departments.

- Set schedules of required and shared courses across the departments.

- Evaluate time constraints across departments.

- Compose academic schedules and upload them to the Banner system.

- Compose final exams schedules 

- Compose mid exams schedules.

- Manage exam halls and prepare the necessary safety tools and seat organization.

- Prepare lists of all exam invigilators

- Prepare lists of committee supervisors

- Ensure that students take their exams with no complications

Student Excuses Committee

Responsibilities:

- Apply student excuse regulations in the University.

- Examine and formulate the decision on student excuses and relay them to the college dean for approval

Grade Appeal and Review of Course Results Committee

Responsibilities:

- Examine grade appeal requests on final grade scores.

- Reviewing coursework calculation procedures

- Follow up on appeal requests with related entities.
