Students have to complete the 25 credit hours of the preparatory year before entering the Electrical Engineering Program (EEP).

The preparatory year is not part of the EEP and does not carry credit hours towards the Bachelor of Sciences in Electrical Engineering degree.

The purpose of the new preparatory year is to help students develop the necessary skills to successfully begin their higher education in their chosen colleges by developing students' skills in English Language and Computer skills as well as their communication skills and develop fundamental science knowledge (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) that students need in their future specialization.
